Why are some stocks "can only be closed" at IB?

In IB's TWS, if you enter an order(long or short) on any of the following stocks, your order will be rejected and you will get a popup saying: "This contract can only be closed"

NXST
TAYD
AETI
NOOF
INTX
TRCI
DHFT
CTDC
HHB
HHD

Any idea why IB restricts opening new positions on these stocks? Are these stocks also restricted with other brokers?
 
i've gotten that before from IB, and it's usually a tech. glitch, don't know why but tell CS in a chat or something...

i've gotten it at another broker, and that was because there was too much intraday volatility (price/volume). but IB's usually just a glitch....
 
yeah glitch..plenty of them at IB.
lately some of my stock orders are rejected with some not enough margin message,while others are not. sometimes they can be submitted after second click. go figure..
