Why are some people still refusing to get Covid vaccine?

Still pushing this nonsense -- how absurd.

The long term risks of getting jabbed are minimal. As noted any side-effects of vaccines show up within 6 months (usually 2 months) of vaccination. This is why the FDA approval period involves submitted 6 months of data for full approval of a vaccine. Long-term side effects of not getting the vaccine include death (2% of cases) and Long Covid for at least 20% of the cases). Anyone who can calculate risk understands the tradeoffs.

The is not superior natural immunity. This is a farce that you keep pushing.

The stats for the vaccinated are excellent compared to the unvaccinated in terms of deaths, hospitalizations, and cases -- as a percentage of the vaccinated.

It's hard to believe you continue to push your Covid fantasies after being corrected with facts so often.
Nobody knows what the long term effects of the jab are. By long term in this context I define it as 3-5 years out and more.

Nobody knows what effects if any, any vaccine may have on newborns or females entering pregnancy. There is minimal data and the vaccines just haven't been out that long to go through the whole child bearing cycle.

We do have the numbers for corona, death at 1-2% and complications at 20-30% but we don't know what we don't know for the numbers on the vax side.

Taking the vaccine now is essentially a bet on whether the effects of corona is a higher or lower probability than any potential long term or reproductive effects from taking any corona vaccines.

As I am unvaccinated, don’t plan to become vaccinated, I realize the inevitability of me catching and dying of Covid-19, probably delta variant. As my fate is sealed, so I’m told anyway, I hereby bequeath my value in carbon credits to Overnight.

Similar to the movie Soylent Green, except instead of people being valued as food, people are valued for the carbon they will no longer create. Who knew evolution was going to take this path?

So as I prepare to leave this mortal coil, I wanted to let everyone here on ET that I appreciated the debates, the sharing of ideas, the jokes, and the Camaraderie.
The great thing is that it is your choice, not someone else's whether or not you get the vaccine.

As noted many times before -- there are no long term side effects of vaccines that show up beyond the six month mark (actually the two month mark). Anyone pushing this "long term effects" being 3 years out or more is pushing pure anti-vaxxer nonsense.

The effective death rate of the vaccinated due to Covid is nearly zero as shown by the KFF data for states across the U.S. Similarly the effective hospitalization rate of the vaccinated due to breakthrough Covid is well below 1%. If your claims of "we don't know what it is on the Vax side" were true then we would have hospital wards full of vaccinated people with side-effects rather than full of unvaccinated with Covid.

All the research regarding the Covid vaccine on pregnant women demonstrate it is beneficial with no specific pregnancy-related side effects; nor are there any reproductive effects. However common problems for pregnant women catching Covid is generally hospitalization and possible death -- of both the mother and/or unborn child.

With millions of people vaccinated across the face of the earth -- it is very clear that that side-effects statistically for vaccines are greatly less than catching Covid.

Any reasonable person knows that the best "bet" based on the data is to get vaccinated -- to not only protect your health but the health of others in the community.

Look asshole you do not know the long term risks...period. will the vax do well against next years variant? Will it be developed in time. Will it outperform natural immunity for 4 months in the healthy...

Will it miss by a little and cause serious problems. You can't forecast that.

Another issue I discovered, from the CDC website, are all the possible errors that are possible in the handling and administration of the vaccine. They even have a form that shows error type by category and corrective action(s) taken. In other words, it is likely administration of vaccines in the field will have less favorable outcomes on average versus trial settings due to inevitable errors of poorly trained or new personnel at locations around the country.

And the extreme liberal lies continues about Ivermectin. Take note in the same article, it finally says there are two kinds of Ivermectin. One for animals and one for humans. This is what is killing people when extreme liberal media hacks continue to push that Ivermectin in dangerous because they give the impression it is the Ivermectin used for animals that humans are taking. Ivermectin in an FDA approved drug, rigorously, tested. Numerous tests have been conducted by board certified doctors and found it to be safe for use by people. Also, highly, effective in the treatment of Corona Virus. Not all the lies of extreme liberal media and their paid doctor shills of Big Pharma is going to change that.

Every vaccination reduces one’s immune response to future illnesses, other than that vaccinated against, unless it is a rapidly mutating virus such as Covid, in my informed opinion. In that case, relative value of the Covid vaccine is even less.

Covid vaccines are known to loss efficacy over time requiring multiple shots to maintain protection which is less effective than natural immunity. Covid is only a moderately severe virus that mainly effects those of advanced age and those with compromised immune systems. Those at high risk or otherwise anxiety prone are welcome to get the vaccination shot as many times as deemed appropriate.

It is foolhardy to recommend those who have natural immunity or who are low risk to get vaccinated because of short term and long term adverse effects, even if mild. Hell, in many cases, the newly vaccinated experience flu-like symptoms for three days after getting jabbed. Is not the point in getting a vaccination to avoid getting sick in the first place? Look at the Pfizer Covid warning labels and trail results for perspective on this.

How does my decision to not get vaccinated effect someone’s health who has been vaccinated? Aren’t the vaccinated safe? Hmmmm?

As far as the unvaccinated being “Variant factories”, it has already been shown the three or so days the body usually needs to defeat the virus is not enough time for mutations to develop. Exceptions for virus mutations are believed to exist in immunocompromised individuals, however. Therefore, immunocompromised individuals should be recommended to get the shot.

By the way, aren’t there more children who die in the US each year because of domestic violence than Covid? If Covid is bad, does this make parents worse on average as far as children’s health is concerned? To make sure children are safe, should not they be separated from their parents at childbirth to reduce inevitable parent related child deaths?

Again, Covid is not a serious enough disease to justify “Vaccine Nazism”.

the unvaccinated are spreading the china virus to the vaccinated and killing them apparently

do you guys remember asking everyone 2 years ago if they had the flu shot? no because you know yours works

also didnt vaccines used to give you the antibodies to fight off the virus and never get sick? like you come in contact with the flu but dont get it because your body could kill it before it got you sick. why are vaccines different now with a new purpose of "making symptoms less severe"? you're not even supposed to get sick if you are vaccinated

Can you show me any data from 3 years+ out showing that there hasn't been any long term effects on reproductive systems or in generally at all from vaccines? No, because it doesn't exist. Full stop. Anyone dismissing the possibility of it is as ridiculous as stating vaccines don't help.

Don't quote me out of context if you want to keep it civil. What I wrote regarding "we don't know what it is on the Vax side" is not regarding side effects now, it is regarding side effects on the reproduction cycle on a time scale no one could possibly have data on unless they had a time machine.

Yes, statistically the data although minimal looks decent for getting vaxxed regarding pregnancy or going into pregnancy now. However, no one knows what it may be in the future. Could we just be getting good results now? Maybe, no one knows.

Statistically, right now the data favors getting vaxxed. But right now is but one moment in time, and everyone needs to consider the other moments in time(the future) where there may be a problem because the facts/data changes.

End of the day, it's a bet. Unfortunately you can't reverse getting vaxxed, so if you are wrong on the bet on potential future issues from the vax, there's no reset button.

As noted by the CDC there has never been a vaccine side-effect that has not shown up in the first two months. This is why are all vaccines only six months of data must be submitted for full approval.

People pushing claims of "long term vaccine effects" are pushing anti-vaxxer nonsense.
