Why are so many Fat and ugly people in commercials?

I have the only correct answer to this. It's because attractive wealthy people don't care what commercials tell them they buy what they want. They only have to appeal to the ugly broke people. Secondly. It's a lot cheaper to hire ugly fat actors and minorities than it is to hire attractive white people

Serious question. When I was young, most people in commercials were attractive whether white or black. Why are there so many fat and ugly people in today’s commercials?
I dont want to see a bunch of disgusting fat people in commercials, its gross. When I see an ugly fat person, the first thing I think of is them being lazy and not motiavated. Thats a horrible message to send our children.

Can you cite some examples?

I thought NY Hood was Innervoice? What, he has a second nick with 100 posts? Or are you talking abut tee? Either way, your claims makes no sense. He already has an in with Innervoice.

He has used more than 1 nick at a time before

Calling people fat and ugly is not the right message to send to children. I doubt you have children or a wife though.

Very Well Said !!!
I totally agree .

TV adverts in the UK became flooded with black actors since about 1-2 years ago. The ratio of black to white in adverts appears to be about 50:50. The actual percentage of black people in the UK population is 3%.

Half of the black population of the UK live in London, the other half live in 5 major cities.

Especially odd is when our adverts show black actors involved in pursuits like surfing, skiing, hiking, mountain climbing, sailing, camping etc.. Actually meeting black people involved in such activities here is about as rare as finding hens' teeth.

I suppose this comes from insecure commercial clients wishing to demonstrate their open-mindedness and respect for all races. Which is odd because that's something nobody ever accused them of.

Private companies know what they’re doing. Representation has shown to increase sales. It may not make sense to you from a population perspective but if there’s at least one white male in an advertisement you’ll subconsciously relate, assuming you’re white. The same works with other races. They’re trying to get people to identify with their product or service.

You can see this from a larger scale with companies like Nike or Disney. They have plenty of white representation but adding diverse representation increases their business.

Like I said these companies know what they’re doing. They get labeled as “woke” but they’re just capitalists chasing profit.
