Why are Paulson and Bernanke the only guys with input??

Now other people are coming out with ideas - Robert Reich, Schummer (I don't like they guy, but if he's got something to say, let him say it), etc.

Why do Paulson and Bernanke get to chat between themselves in a closed room and then come out and TELL everybody what has to be done - IMMEDIATELY!

Why don't we just make them Chairman and CEO of America then?
 
The Fed is a corporation authorized by the government. Nobody, not even the President, can overrule the Fed's activities. If your question is why their word is golden over any elected official, I think you have your answer.
