Why are oil prices so low?

I moved my stop on STL to 155. today. It's a fairly tight stop and to be frank, part of the reason I'm so aggressive is that I'm in need of cash. If not, I could just have held it at 150 like forever, cause I do think it will clear 160 eventually without taking out 150 first.

While the day was green, I was disappointed by it's lack of initiative above 160 (and dipping back below). OSE is closed tomorrow, so let's see what Friday brings.

I was stopped out of my Statoil trade today on an aggressive trailing stop at 156 NOK. That's a return of 102,59% (not-annualized) after interest and commissions.

Unlike the after-the-fact gurus on this board who simply runs a big mouth without being able to back it with anything, I will only be too happy to post the exact blotter if anyone should doubt this, but I suppose no one really cares. ;)
 
Just a matter of time before Crude Breaks below $45 and support at $25.
Where are all the newspaper screaming day traders making Crude Oil go down?
 
I'm sorry, but I don't see that happening. If it does, I will be buying for sure.

In fact, I considered re-entering on a Statoil long, but it bounced 10 NOK before I had the time to react. So my analysis was once again on point. Sadly, this time without me. :)
 
I don't make such predictions unless I'm certain, something I'm not at the time being for various reasons. Currently, I'm in no position to make an intelligent comment on the topic.

But let's just say that I would buy after a slide, should it happen. :)
 
Schlumberger thinks rig counts have bottomed. From what I have read, they have a very short half-life.

Additionally, the multi-month bottom in CL that we just made was awfully quiet. I saw the bottom get made with a $1.00 jump down during after hours with very little volume.
