Why am I poor?
Im 21 and have 2 kids
I am not married and the father of one of my kids is in prison.
I have no actual skills.
I was in poverty and on welfare before I became pregnant
Why am I poor? Income disparity amd racism ?
 
Yes i did pull myself out of poverty by working hard and making responsible decisions. I didnt have to make excuses and take advantage of the system.

Oh you know poverty. What’s your story? I am someone who actually pulled myself out of poverty, too. I was picking blueberries at 8 years old and walking to work through snow up to my knees at 14 to help my mom pay the electric bill. Is that the kind of poverty you know?

What I am telling you is poverty is rea and it hurts. It destroys families and very few people are actually able to pull themselves out of true poverty. Saying people are poor because of a choice does not sound like something someone who pulled themselves up would say to me because most people who pull themselves up understand the difficulty of it.
 
I experienced poverty but with hard work and smart decision making I pulled myself out.
With smart life choices its relatively easy to stay out or get out of poverty in the US opposed to Guatemala for example.

Magatard-Kentucky man arrested for trying to sell 4-year-old Black child at a gas station

A Kentucky man was charged with human trafficking after he was spotted trying to sell a 4-year-old Black child at a local gas station mini-market, reports WYMT..

Harry Day was arraigned Monday morning in Knox County District Court and quickly sentenced to one year in jail after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of promoting human trafficking of a child under 18.

According to the report, Day was spotted offering the child for $2,500 at a Speedy Mart convenience store in Corbin, and police were able to track him down where he, and the child’s mother, Gertrude Henson, admitted they had been smoking methamphetamine.

Both are in custody at the Knox County Detention Center.
