I think real traders don't care much about what the markets do...BUT if a Demo legislature is able to pass something horrendous like a Trader Tax based on percent of notional trade amount, well then that will suck big time.

More likely, I see them increasing the long term capital gains discount rate for those making above a certain amount and treating all gains as ordinary income...they'll probably carve out some benefit for ESG crap.
