Who's trading foreign markets? Who's winning?

Quote from Bitstream:

yes u right but thats what should be worrin' u most. volumes are flat most of da time, sometimes no more than 2 trades take place in a week. another setback: impossible to trade back months.

That was my point. So, why do you say volume is not a problem. There were less than 300 options on NK traded last night, While more than 28,000 traded on ES today.

because I meant liquidity, not volumes..they never improve enough to decrease the spread enough, best I saw was 5points and was a rare occasion.

If you want liquidity in options you need to look at kospi instead. Close to same time zone as Nikkei.

Thanks for bringing that up. The Kospi is great. It's market weighted, and the top 10 stocks in the index account for about 50% of the index.

Does anyone know why NKD do not trade like the other US index futures - virtually 24 hours? it kinda irritates me because when im long a position on NKD, and I see it rise afterhours ( in reference to SGXNK ) I can't do anything about it.

I can sell SGXNK but then i'll end up being in a position where i have to try to balance each other out with buys and sells.

Could anyone be so kind as to tell me when the Nikkei opens on the Singapore Exchange EST? Thanks so much.

Dan

Sorry, I forgot to mention the breaks in my previous post. SGX takes two breaks. Starting next week (after we go to daylight savings time) SGX will be open for trading at the following times in EST:

7:45p.m.-10:15p.m.
11:15p.m.-2:30a.m.
3:30a.m.-7:00a.m.
