I couldn't agree more. If you break this latest trade down, not only did they give up their leading scorer(Rose) and their most consistent night in, night out player(Marshall), not to mention Baxter, in return they received two players. The third is on injured reserve. From a salary standpoint, it appears Antonio Davis offsets Rose's salary(roughly 12mil for Davis and around 13.5mil for Rose), Jerome Williams isnt bad, but he is nowhere near as versatile as Marshall, whom I think will be sorely missed.
If you guys remember the Bulls, pre-Jalen Rose, they were an offensive disaster. No one on that team was a true scorer and night in night out the Bulls would score 70-80 pts. Granted, the Bulls are 4-12 and the record looks terrible. But with the exception of a few blowout losses, they have hung tough in a number of games with big time competition. Many games have been tight in the 4th quarter, only to have some costly turnovers down the stretch.
Unfortunately, I am also afraid they are going to try and deal Jamal Crawford at some point. IMO, he has more talent than Heinrich and Jay Williams combined. He is an oversized point guard with much better ball control than Heinrich, who also fits well in the 2 spot. He is a deadly outside shooter when the offense flows through him and he brings alot of game.
The sad reality is that the Bulls and the rest of the Eastern Conference just pail in comparison to the Western Conference. In terms of timing, this re-organization was very contrived. Now that they are coming back home, playing an assortment of Eastern Conference teams, they will win a handful and Paxson and the duped fans will believe that the coaching changes, the addition(subtraction) of a core group of players was the key to it.

Not only were those choices bad, this new trade group sucks even more. I'll check out the next home game with all the new cast and fill you in. Let's hope they can find the talent center at least. They still lack a major go-to-guy.
