Anyways... lotta shit has changed since this thread started.

Before:

nitro = Chicago ET Meeting's top trader.

resinate = A long haired bachelor. Had xx girlfriends.

CBK = Living in his parent's basement.

saxon = Old drunk guy always hangin' out at the end of the bar.

Me = Too broke to drink at a bar.

Now:

nitro = broke and working as IT.

CBK = Working in a hedge fund.

resinate = Happily married with kids.

saxon = Still at the end of the bar drunk.

Me = Drinking at the end of the bar.

I wonder how others are doing...

Best food:

Steak: Filet Vesuvio at La Vita (little italy) or
Gorgonzola Filet at Rosebud Steakhouse (Drake Hotel)

Burgers: Twisted Spoke (N. Clark) or
the Fridge burger at Ditka's (Chesnut)

Italian Beef: Agostino's (Wheaton)

Italian Food: Mia Francesca's (Lincoln Park) or
Carmine's (Gold Coast) - Chicken Vesuvio, but it's all good too

Mexican: Uncle Julio's (North and Clybourn) or
Tarasca's (Lincoln Park)

Chinese: Not a big chinese food guy anymore, but I enjoy the Kung Pao beef at Big Bowl (Gold Coast)

Thai - Thai Bowl in Little Italy (Taylor St.) A hole-in-the-wall with the best Green Curry Chicken.

Pizza - Chicago pizza sucks. I like my cheap black Jack pizza from out west!

Sushi: Sushi Wabi...I love this place (west loop)

Greek - Costa's (Greek Town)

Lounge - Fulton Lounge (West Loop)

Restaurant Bar: Gibsons/Tavern (gold coast)
Ditka's Upstairs - Order the pot-roast nachos!!!

Breakfast - Toast (lincoln park) or
John's Place (lincoln park) or
Egg Lectic (wheaton)

hmm, that's all I kind come up with for now...I know I'm missing something though.
 
For those of us our in the burbs, do any of you trade together? In a trading arcade/coop situation?

Like most of you (I'm guessing), we trade at home. And I'm getting damn sick of staring at the paint on my walls. Would like to actually share an office with other people. Anybody do this already?

I'm not looking for a prop shop or a trading platform, broker etc. Just some like minded traders to trade with.
 
I was interested in this two years ago. Thing is, in order to make it really work, we would have to pay the rent several months in advance so that one guy doesn't back out of the lease, leaving the other guy with the financial responsibility.

Also, it is tough to hook up with strangers. Ideally you would do this with friends. In the absence of that, a period where the two traders got to know each other to make sure that they were "office mates" compatible would probably serve both parties well...

Maybe one day in the future. I live in the nothernmost part of Evanston, and it would be very easy to have an office with anyone within a ten mile radius of here...

This is an year ago but Fanstatic Sams by Maple and Rush (Just behind Dublins... I think) had a really hot girl.

I used to love it when she used to wash and cut my hair. She works Tuesdays to Saturdays.

I don't remember if I got a nice haircut, though :p
 
There's a place by where I live on Southport and Fullerton....right across the street from Burger King. Good cuts and hot towel with a straight edge for your face.
