The anti-semitism among dems runs far deeper than just Whoopi's issues.
We just recently went through an episode where a muslim terrorist attacked a synagogue in Texas and held the jewish congregation hostage.
The FBI initially stated that the event "was not specifically related to the Jewish community."
After hours/days of holding up cue cards and outrage in the community, the FBI enventually came around and acknowledged that it could have been directed at people for their status as jews. You know, the terrorist did not go down to the Unitarian Church, eh? Idiots, and anti-semites.
But by jeezusss, not to worry about those terrorists a/k/a parents down at the school board. Merrick Garland has an entire operation set up to track them and label them for what they are. Not seeing the different between Whoopi and Merrick Garland today. So focused on their political agenda they say and do stupid things.

Holocaust was not about race. For one, most Jews in Europe were and are heavily mixed with locals, genetic tests show most are actually more European than Jewish. You don't get Germanic or Slavic looks and pasty skin by living in the middle east for centuries.
On top of that, there were a large number of homosexuals, rebels, intellectuals in the internment camps. To say it was about race is to exclude all those people.
I find it funny how in the 21st century still, any opinion on the holocaust, even if mildly disagreeing with the narrative, is shut down immediately and begging for forgiveness starts.

We have seen over and over in politics that around 30 percent of a population are aggressively against outsiders, prone to blame others for their own failings and listen to anyone making another a scapegoat and without double standards, they would have none at all.
So say 30% of the European Jews who were assholes got the wind up their 30 percent German/Austrian counterparts and the remaining of both groups were carried along temporarily (as sometimes circumstances align) allowing the 30% gain the upper hand over the rest.

First let me say I am not a fan of Whoopi particularly and don't watch The View.
After reviewing her statement my thoughts are that Whoopi narrowly views "race" in context of black, brown, white.. while others have a broader view of what comprises "race" in regards to ethnicity, etc.
Historians have debated the Holocaust in context of "race". Seeing that the Germans actually had units in their army composed of men from the Middle East, Africa, and India -- it is hard to say the Nazi's were strictly prejudiced in regards to the color of your skin when sending individuals to concentration camps. A host of criteria were used - gays, gypsies, Jews, Poles and others were all selected for the camps. Which gets back to what comprises "race" -- is it religion, ethnicity, etc.
IMO this suspension of Whoopi for her comments regarding race is nothing more than political correctness and cancel culture run amok. Clearly she needed to clarify her comments and the context in which they were made -- but the two week suspension is a bit much for this situation in my opinion. Her comment opened an opportunity for those with an different view (e.g. Anti-Defamation League ) to speak up and help set her perspective straight or provide better context -- in effect making it a discussion and a good learning opportunity.
However we have reached the point where every comment is taken as offensive and it is impossible to put forward any opinion without a backlash of some type -- and an online mob demanding the person be cancelled. I don't really find what Whoopi stated as going over a line where she should be taken off the air for the comment -- especially since she followed up by providing context for her perspective regarding the comment and an apology to anyone who she hurt before being suspended.
