Whom to complain to when they won't give you your money back?

A 20 second search yielded :

"if you get the bonus money you CANNOT WITHDRAWAL ANY OF YOUR MONEY until you make the number of trades(it seems it is this way with most brokers)so if you deposit $500 get $200 bonus you cannot withdrawal ANY money until you make at least $6,000 worth of trades"

and..

"Well after signing up and depositing 200 they rang me and insisted I deposit more. Now I know why. Once you deposit 1000 they hook you with a bonus making it so you cannot withdraw."

and...

"Sent a wire for 4738 US dollars on Mar 21 2013 still has not shown in my account have asking questions and receive no reply so I do not think this place is legit and they steal your money"

Wow, just wow:eek:...I am taken aback with how helpful you guys are. Makes me want to rethink giving up trading just to be a part of this community. Honestly...

  1. I would like to know how to transfer my money to another firm-that sounds very interesting
  2. thanks for pointing out the regulatory bodies, amazed that you would do that for a newbie
  3. Great tip on the ripoffreports, made me also think of Scamguard
All great advice here. I will use this thread as a kind of a journal of the steps I take, so that nobody who stumbles upon this thread goes through what I am going through again.

I was like a rat in a maze before I decided to post here...

I know about the bonus trap and I am well beyond that with my trading account.

I have some money with a trading broker company that I've been trying to withdraw for months now, literally.

* It started with long talks from my account manager convincing me not do it:"But you are doing so well, why would you want to take the money out, I am trying to understand...."
*It went on with my withdrawal request simply not being processed
*Then seeing the requests canceled
*Now my request is just pending after dozens of phone calls

Finally when enough was enough and I told my manager that I was an internet marketer and that it's very easy for me to start a few websites talking about what a scam they were. It's only then when he started listening and calling me back almost every day but still I HAVE NOT BEEN PAID a cent.

Finding info on whom to complain to is my last step.

Then I will really do it. I'll make the websites talking about my experience and then rank it for some nice option trading keywords. Already did my research and found at least a dozen I can rank for in top 3 in Google within months, no doubt about that (total monthly search volume of the keywords well over 20k).

It's not big money and that's not the only point. I believe in moving towards a clean web one step at a time and getting rid of the scammers. If they're not going to give me my money, I will stop at nothing until it costs them 100 times as much in lost chances and until honest people can avoid what's happening to me.

Police

just called again, the Swiss number is still disconnected "for suspected or actual fraudulent activities"

no reply on the Australian or New Zealand number

I did it once . Just visited scottrade and they took care of it.

Your money is probably gone along with any other customer money.

For the future for any new investors or traders:

1) ONLY invest in a company that resides in the country that you are living in.

2) Stay with a well known company that has many customer accounts.

3) If you have a lot of money consider opening accounts with multiple brokers.

4) Only invest in a company that has the required documentation to act as a broker.

5) You can always ask about a company here or find a company here that other traders are using. If no one here is using that company then its probably not a good one.

If you made a deposit by credit card you could contact your bank - in person or via their website - and ask them to reverse the charge, that way you would at least break even.

Found this website about this company (OptionRally):

I though about a charge-back but I am not sure if too much time has passed since I deposited.

I am not letting this go.

I'll call again on Monday and see what happens. I'll report here, as I said I'll make this thread my journal with this saga.

I daydream about meeting my "account manager" in person...oh man that would be the day...

Last time we spoke I said: "Tell me Seth, how does it feel to have things come out of your mouth that both you and the person on the other end of the line know are lies. What kind of a night's sleep do you get? What kind of a life is that? I'm just curious..."

And my account manager started his response with: "Listen man..."

I think that says it all.
