smallStops,

He's a member of many forums. Thus, there's a few he's not banned at and not active in posting. Therefore, I strongly suspect he'll become active at one of those forums.

You'll still be able to contact him and continue conversations elsewhere about his "grid method".

You are right, as I guess most posters only post on few forums.
Patak or topsteptrading was first banned if I remember well. If not for Maverick, today we would have lost the possibility to ask people to go through a combine when they claim extreme profitability.
I think when people only post about trading, it would be good to first have an open discussion before banning.
Anyway, my 2 cents. back to preparing for the 2nd combine :D

And again to be clear, I think the more appropriate issue is not the trading posts but the general solicitation for investment funds. Any registered broker who is a member here on ET, or for that matter a responsible vendor or sponsor would agree that the US CFTC regulations are very prescriptive about public solicitations for investment funds, the registered status of the entity soliciting those funds, and the veracity of the claims represented. In my mind, those are the only issues I would have with what the Member in question did and has been doing here on ET from time to time.
