Who would win in a fight, Trader or Investor?

In terms of money earned(including bonuses), of course someone( at Goldman for example)would probably win bcuz of the sheer amount of money/buying power they have. But in terms of percentage return, I can bet 25k -50k of my personal money that I can beat any investor over 5 yr term. We can set it up the contract thru attys.

Anybody game?

P.S. crgarcia ......where are you?

Well since I'm a trader, of course my bets are with the day trader.. Why? Well, I believe if you are good at trading then you might have a little advantage over investors and here's why..

Investors basically get their gains from up moves..while traders can benefit from up, down and sideways moves..

Traders can start with a small account and gain 100% on their money in months.. While investors may have to wait much longer for those types of gains..
98% of daytraders lose.
The other 2% is only barely breaking even.

I never heard (real stories) of a daytrader making a killing.

Investors may also profit in sideways markets (dividends, covered calls, etc.)

Investors WHO HEDGE, win hands down.

I believe Goldman Sacks would win...hands down!

...and then give themselves some more money. :D
GS are neither traders nor investors:

They are insider-traders, front-runners, and market manipulators.

If you blowup daytrading (and it's likely you'll do), anyhow you'll have no money to pay me the bet.

Quite a catch, isn't it?
