who won the presidential debate?

Because the cult that is Trump's main base idolizes him like a religious figure. And Trump thinks he can't lose he won't accept what everyone can see is coming beyond the base. I'll never understand what you Americans see in some of your Presidents; for example, George W. Bush just seemed kind of stupid from day one yet Americans seemingly loved him. What happened afterwards was not a surprise. Will Americans make the same mistake they made with Trump as they did with George W. ?

I can understand your confusion in how we choose our Presidents. But again, it came down to a lesser of evils. I voted for Bush because there was no way I was going to vote for Al Gore. In fact, other than Bill Clinton, I can't remember voting for someone as much as I can remember voting against everyone else.

made it easier to watch baseball last night and I hate watching baseball...

so there is that..
Neighbor loaned me a long board last nite. After the first 20 seconds of the "debate" I went out to the garage to scrape and wax. What a shit show.

But an even bigger joke was me trying to surf this morning. At this point Uncle Joe probably looks better on a long board than me. Ugh.

It's all relevant to the times we live in.

When after 18 months into his term we got our twin towers felled by terrorists, we loved seeing him standing on top of a pile of the rubble, shouting through a megaphone, "They will hear ALL of us soon!", it instilled patriotism. It (the attack) was a shock to the world, but it was especially shocking to the USA.

I'm sorry you Canadians cannot understand that. Maybe if some terrorist fells your precious CN tower, you'll feel something of that.

It was 8 months into his term not 18.

How did that all work out for you ? Have you learned any lessons from your mistakes ?

The expression on Kayleigh's face should tell you who won the debate.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany insisted on Wednesday that President Donald Trump came out on top against Democratic nominee Joe Biden in Tuesday night’s debate.

McEnany was asked about Trump’s performance by Fox Business host Stuart Varney.

“He thinks he won the debate?” Varney wondered. “Does he think that?”
