Who wants to program my Profitable Trading System?

Quote from psytrade:

BTW: GannGalt is right in the general case, I'll bet you $100 that your "real time" system doesn't work in the real world of automated trading. I code these things myself and coming up with something that makes consistent money in any Market is way harder than 99% of the people on this board suggest. But good luck, 3-4 years of testing ideas will get you where you want to go.

So 2 yrs of profitable trading (with real money) isn't good enough...

anyway, would appreciate if anyone could direct me to
a source/website where I can find project programmers with
IB's API experience.

it would also help if you shut up. You have got to be one of the most annoying posters on this forum, and probably the most negative person I have come across. Every post I read from you are bashing on someone of calling someone an idiot. Why are you so darn upset with life?

Quote from TSGannGalt:

Sorry... I'll shut up.

LOL...

Great... I won't shut up. As a matter of fact, I recall that the guy Bluegar was spamming in ET looking for someone to fund his trading model and looking for a job as a system developer. You should PM him.

You two should make a great team...

What trading platform are you using?

IB, do you know IB TWS api programming?

I could start a tradestation acct if easylanguage is a better
choice...not familar with it...

Which do you experienced program traders think is better?

You might find some help with programming your system on this forum:

Good Luck!

Thanks...looks like a useful forum for this approach...seems like
many others are doing the same thing too...

Thanks,I got a number of price quotes from programmers
offering to do this project...including one from ninjatrader
that looks feasible...

anyone with experience using ninjatrader platform strategy
interface with IB? Can an algorithm mainly based
on scaling/position sizing be implemented on ninjatrader
in the first place?

I too have looked at smartquant but the problem is , if I understand correctly, that you cant leave openquant running unattended as it has no recoverability features.

Does anyone on ET run an automated system that can get through the trading day unattended and can handle technical obstacles such as loss of connection with the broker, loss of data, etc and automatic download of missing data after connection /reestablishment of data feed and can determine open positions working orders, where we are in the strategy logic, etc.....
