Don't you love it when people try to make calls - or take credit for calls - based on the first half hour? There's a half hour to go, of course, but it looks like both GG and Hershey were dead wrong.

Quote from icarus618:
You're half right. Between Gordon and Jack, only one was predicting.
As Jack has repeatedly stated, there are three segments in a day. Each segment flows into the next so there is no need to skip ahead segments.
The AM was a rocket which could be anticipated from yesterday PM per Jack; during midday you had CCC which I've noticed always occurs whenever there is a Fed announcement; and finally in the PM you had a BO from CCC which was caught with a bracket (the BO actually occurred a few minutes before the cut was announced; price seems to lead the news often, doesn't it?).
Because the market flows, there is no need to predict ever. The predicting-betting regime is a trap. Until GG realizes this he will be stuck where he is in loser land.

p.s. as i later said in my thread, who cares about predictions, anyway. i just did it for fun...Quote from Gordon Gekko:
p.s. today is going to be an up day for ES. (at least til the fomc announcement)
PAY ATTENTION!Quote from hardrock375:
Sure do! GG, great call on the up day. With calls like that, I understand why he is losing money. He might want to spend less time making calls, and more time making $money$.
btw, oh yeah!! what a terrible call! it only went up 8 points after i posted it. what, was going SHORT a better call at that point?!?!?! COME BACK TO EARTH, PLEASE!Quote from Gordon Gekko:
