I have one of these on. Feel free. No clarification. Long vol throughout the curve. Takes -800 beeps in volshift.

Looks nice! What was the net debit + realized P/L to create that?

I didn't realize that placing / cancelling some amount of orders per day could get you labeled as a pro... I may place / cancel over 100 orders on some days, but I don't think I have gotten close to 390 / day. I don't see any mention of that limit from IB:

Oh...read your later post. You're no longer at IB. Curious, what broker offers commission free trading for options that supports an API...assuming that you don't enter and cancel 400 orders/day manually as that would be hell.
The challenge for the newbie is that it's a jungle out there with multiple people, approaches and methodologies pulling in different directions. I know for a fact that there are people here who sound very savvy and smart, but in the end ain't successful as a trader. The newbie won't be able to make that distinction before it's too late and having wasted a lot of time and potentially money.
So, best to thread carefully.
To be honest, DBPhoenix always struck me as one of those guys who could masterfully annotate a chart and come across as a market wizard, but wasn't making any money from trading. Most likely a retired guy who was passing time.
Do you have reason to believe otherwise?
I don't think he was making money. Nor did I. Basically we sort of exhausted "tape reading" using volume and candle patters. It went on for years. After 3 years of intense day trading futures I broke even after comms. OTH all the money I did make was in swing trading.
Haha, I was a retired guy passing time, back then. I should have worked with two friends in a startup, but I passed to hang out with my 12 yo.
Interesting.
So, basically, one of the resident gurus at the time didn't make money and he wasn't able to be a good mentor either with regards to some earlier comment by @newwurldmn using the analogy of sports coaching and someone coaching traders.
Thank you for your honest reply.

Oh this old trope about classifying traders as retail or institutional is so lame. Institutions are full of douche bags and policies and procedures and all sorts of soul sucking shit. Like HRDamn, sorry to hear that. I haven't checked in on Maestro in a couple of years. I should keep more up to date.
It's too bad, he was my sole example of an ET retail trader who successfully went institutional.
