I have the above on my Android tablet sitting on my desk while trading...feeding it through tweetdeck or Hootsuite. The reason why I feed it through tweetdeck and hootsuite is because I can add my own custom real-time news columns (e.g. Euro Crisis). Also, some of the above twitter/stocktwits recommendations have their own dedicated mobile app for those that don't like twitter or stocktwits.
It's extremely useful for me during the trading day because I also have twitter/stocktwits pals in other countries. Thus, its very common to get real-time market news from friends a few minutes before it hits the major financial networks.
By the way, before someone here at ET chimes in and say its all a fad, not useful or the typical ET bashing crap...
Many floor traders, institutional traders, professional traders around the world are using twitter and stocktwits accordingly to a documentary on Bloomberg when they interviewed a dozen or so floor traders and several institutional traders at big firms. In addition, I remember a live interview on CNBC recently with a bond trader at the exchange and the guy looks down at something on his hip...then looks back up and mentions he just read something important on twitter.

Just from the breaking news viewpoint rather than chatter, the one twitter account I've seen really move stocks (for now) is @CitronResearch. I'm not saying I think their opinions are great, just that their tweets move the stocks.
Other than that, I have not found many instances where news breaks on Twitter. It can be helpful though, after a stock moves, to just search that stock symbol to see what the reason is if you aren't seeing it elsewhere. You just have to ignore all the people who are just saying "$HUM $WLP just went BOOM. LOL!"
