Guys, relax! It is dangerous. no question and I think that was all that was being said. It didn't need to go into a piss fest. I broke 4 ribs, punctured my lung and broke my collar bone in 2 places when I went down on gravel. It was my fault and fortunately a car wasn't following me or I would have been ground into the pavement instead of bouncing on it.
I still love riding. My neighbor has had a bike for at least 25 years,and puts 20000 on it some years, and has yet to go down or be hit. A car is obviously safer.
My other choice that I'm debating instead of the bike is building a Sonex plane. So I guess either way I am screwed!

I cant see his posts anymore, but I merely added an initial post to the thread commenting that people should be very careful as I lost two friends, neither their fault, one to a drunk. This guy starts calling me fat, lazy, and stupid for no reason. The chain and prose of posts speaks for itself. I'm not alone, several people now have told me to just ignore him, so thats what I did. Miserable people suck. I just don't understand why people feel they can act that way when under the veil of cyber anonymity. Pathetic.
