I guess three jabs wasn't enough. Tested positive yesterday. Symptoms are headache, slightly conjested, slight fever, chills that come and go, and head to toe body aches that has me feeling like I've been beat with a bat. I have felt worse in the past with other flu virus, but it is an attention getter. Afib still in control. Think I'll live.

Why did you stop at three? Did the last one include the bivalent booster?
It's been my observation among family and friends that the boosters aren't really preventing people from getting Covid. Do they lessen the severity of the symptoms? Perhaps. I also believe that the virus itself is weakening with every mutation which is a normal progression. I started taking the Paxlovid regiment yesterday which I'm sure my CT friends think is a mistake, but I have also observed many of my friends and family who have taken it with no ill effects. Experts in the field recommend the boosters. Anecdotal observation falls short in rigor by comparison. I've had 5 thus far, plus the flu shot along with the bivalent booster.
My Covid update. All better now. The Paxlovid worked remarkably well. All symptoms were gone within 36 hours of the first dose, most gone within 24 hours. I took that first dose about 30 hours from onset of symptoms. I would say that day one/two was like a case of what we used to call the 48-hour flu. The body aches were the worst part of it for me, with a splitting headache running a close second. We'll see what the gym feels like today after a 10 day rest. I did do some stretching and old man yoga while sick, so I shouldn't be too stiff.
