Looks like a few hours after I made my decision to get double boosted the CDC agreed with me:
Read some of the stories, you still don't want to catch Covid, if it can be avoided. Like:
" I got my two doses and the booster, I’m 28 and currently have Covid. I’m feeling better now than I was but I had to have my family take care of my dog for awhile because I was too sick to get out of bed and take her to go potty. Also my company doesn’t have Covid pay anymore and I only had 2 sick days so most of the time I’m missing I’ll have to go without pay, even though I got Covid from my manager. I’m still very bitter about the whole thing."
Yeah, a lot of companies no longer have Covid sick pay, and employees must now rely on their saved sick leave or get no pay to recover from a Covid illness. This is important for those to know that have not been vaccinated or do not plan to get vaccinated/boosted.
Two friends...one vaccinated/boosted and gets infected with Covid. The other is not vaccinated and gets infected with Covid. Both work for the same company.
The vaccinated friend was out for 5 days with barely any symptoms (e.g. just a sore throat). The not vaccinated friend was out for 3 weeks with only the first week covered by Covid sick pay and he then had to use up his saved 2 weeks of sick leave to cover the remainder 2 weeks.
It's a big deal in this economy of rising inflation, skyrocketing gas prices, higher food costs et cetera.
