Say what?!No vaccine for me.
I'm experiencing the same thing with my throat, and my voice. Overall I feel pretty good, but the congestion is hanging on, but not a problem, more annoyance.I got Omicron a little bit before you did. I think it's my sixth day now. For me, it's been like a lingering head cold. My throat is what it seems to be clinging onto the most. Like I can't talk for more than a minute. My voice goes from somewhat normal to very raspy to almost completely gone within the span of a minute. My wife said she doesn't mind this symptom because now she doesn't have to listen to any of my long-winded stories.![]()
I've got a friend circle of 12 people that I go on several trips per year with, and so far, everybody in the group has Omicron except for one, and she lives out in the middle of nowhere in Utah. Several other people in the group that are currently infected by this variant have been vaccinated but they didn't get any boosters past the initial double shot vaccine. What's interesting is that the one person in the group who has been on top of getting the vaccines and boosters is the one person who has Omicron the worst. She has been bedridden for days and just texted me yesterday saying "I haven't been this sick in a long, long time."Say what?!
I’ve already had my booster shot and look forward to the next one in due course. (They’re like peanuts; you can’t just have one.)
I don't know. It doesn't affect everyone exactly the same way or with the same intensity, depending on immunological response. Who's to say that your boostered friend would not have been worse off if she didn't get all three doses? You don't know until you know.I've got a friend circle of 12 people that I go on several trips per year with, and so far, everybody in the group has Omicron except for one, and she lives out in the middle of nowhere in Utah. Based upon what I'm seeing here locally, it doesn't seem like the prior vaccines and boosters are doing very much to battle this particular variant.
I was one of the first to get Covid (January 2020) and the natural immunity provided by that was awesome. The next time I got it was after a trip to Key West in the spring of 2021. I'm not sure if that was Delta or some other strain. Those antibodies got me through for the remainder of the year until this Omicron thing popped up, so hopefully after this is over, I'll have what I need to provide a good amount of defense until some nutty variant comes along next year.I'm surprised you're flying without a net. Why so?

Honestly, that makes no sense whatsoever. Are you back on the gummies again?Truth be told, just because your friend tested positive for Omicron and is sick, doesn't mean she is sick from Omicron.
