I find this seems to kill germs and prevents build up of gunk in throat, also relieves throat pain.
Also it helps with hydration, you need to keep fluid levels up.

There are 3 different types, 2 of them ineffective against Omicron. The one made by GSK is still useful, but hard to come by, I assume.

Thanks, I'll pass that onto my wife to ask about, and see if they have access to it. Her lung issues seem to be under control and I am fairly nervous of this taking her back to were she was 3 years ago, which was not good.

Wife tested positive, she was probably exposed about 3 days after her booster shot. She is having very mild symptoms, but will be a problem next week when she is supposed to be with her Dad for his surgery. Hopefully her sister can be available for a day or two.
I am guessing I am positive also, as I have been exposed to 2 people who are for sure positive. The first 2 days were comparable to a fairly miserable cold or the flu, now I have a sore throat and sinuses are very stuffed up. I don't know that it is worth going in to find out what seems obvious, I am positive for Covid.
The youngest who was the last vaccinated, 2nd dose in October I think, had the mildest symptoms of all of us. i am the only one in the family that had Moderna, the rest are Pfizer.
I can add Middle son left here the 26th to head back to Alabama, and he seems to have not been infected.
That's my addition to the puzzle.

I got Omicron a little bit before you did. I think it's my sixth day now. For me, it's been like a lingering head cold. My throat is what it seems to be clinging onto the most. Like I can't talk for more than a minute. My voice goes from somewhat normal to very raspy to almost completely gone within the span of a minute. My wife said she doesn't mind this symptom because now she doesn't have to listen to any of my long-winded stories.

I've been taking NAC every day for years so maybe that's why my symptoms aren't as bad as others. My mother texted me earlier today that one of her friends just died of this in the hospital at 58 years old.

No vaccine for me. I just texted her to see if he was or not. I'm assuming no but we'll see.
