Not so much a history of the market but Richrd Ney's Wall Street Gang & Wall Street Jungle books are great read on how Wall street Firm's, SEC and Politicians screwed the investing public in the 60's and 70's. Probably have to search on AMZN for used copies

Don't know of any...but I would do a google on "stock market history" or some such thing.
