Who just launched an ICBM 35 miles from SoCal coast?

You mean the same extremely loud submarines that popped up in the middle of the us navy super carrier group?

I believe I quoted the range of their electric motors on batteries to be a couple hundred miles. That happened between Japan and Taiwan. Within the range of a diesel electric running silent on batteries. The difference between that and crossing the Pacific is significant.

Although I was already corrected in the fact that China has a few nuclear boats, the sub you are referencing was a Song-class diesel electric. They have a very short stealth range, but are near silent when on battery power. Again, these boats in combination with the possible five nuclear boats they have are not a threat to the 70 nuclear submarines the United States possess.

All this chatter about the Chinese or unknown missle launches. I'll settle this right now. That was from an app I downloaded to my new iPhone. Apple makes some pretty wicked shit :D. Sorry folks, you can all go back to what you were doing

It must have landed somewhere??
Yes where did the missile landed in more important. Did it disappear in thin air?

I saw this news/information posted in other forums early but thought it was not important so I did not post it here. Now this news is all over the forums.

missile landed on japan.

why the japanese are quiet about is the biggest mystery here.

My guess,

So far I would put the odds of the event as follows:
1. riddler from batman 5%
2. Chinese sub 4%
3. Russian sub 4%
4. iPhone 5%
5. My neighbors potato gun that he has wanted to show me 5%
6. California SWAT team testing out the new home invasion technique to bust someone with a dime bag of weed since its still illegal after prop 19 failed 5%
7. Canadian duck hunters that got a little to excited about what they could legally shoot in the states 5%
8. Scene from the next Jackass movie where they strap some idiot to a rocket 5%
9. Surf creating a distraction while creating a new alias (for the record I like surf and wish he was still on ET ) 5%
10. US Navy test launch that they did not want to disclose to the public .... ding ding ding we have a winner... or at least the most likely choice with a close second that it was the Army officer that Barbara Boxer made call her "Senator" trying to cast his vote right into her house with some test missile.

I didn't make a lifetime career out of the navy but I was a submariner and I do know that the military has no problems claiming they didn't do something.

I have been on nukes and diesels and funny enough when running on battery diesels are more stealth than a loud nuke reactor running turbines...(US doesn't have diesels anymore)

Genuinely not even a remote possibility. The Chinese navy has no where near these capabilities as they only have diesel electric submarines. They are extremely loud when running on diesel engines and only capable of going a few hundred miles when running on batteries. Furthermore, the Atlantic and Pacific coasts are littered with sonar nets and other instrumentation. It wasn't China.

Siap but not true.
