Usually have the sound off during market hours even though the tv is on...don't know why it's on at all.....I just work there.
Today, the sound was on for some reason during trading hours. Sometime while the market was open in the AM, I hear something like:
"Don't go away during the commercial. We'll be right back with a something you won't want to miss!! What's the story behind the Martha Stewart scandal? Stay tuned and find out!"
(or something close to that)
So now we have a "financial" network with the marketing style of the National Enquirer!
"I found a stock that has deteriorated in value over 25% today. Real serious issues about accounting, CFO has quit. Tell ya about it next" -Look away from camera with stern look on face. Cut to commercial-
Art Cashin who I actually respect has even fallen into the showbiz side of it. I used to listen to this guy on WINS radio (all news all the time) in the late 70's. He has been around, no doubt about it.
But what's the deal with him pretending to take notes while holding his (good side?) left shoulder to the camera?
