Who is wrong, AMP or the CME?

"Maintenance Margin is set by the exchange." Then it lists $6,800.00 as the maintenance margin for ES.

However, the CME says the maintenance margin for ES is only $6,000:

First of all, I'm not asking about initial margin. Second, according to the CME, initial for ES would be $6,600, not $6,800 as you state. But thanks for attempting to answer.

My mistake, $6600 is correct. Wow, DT margin is only $400.

I think AMP should slightly modify the message to say that "MINIMUM Maintenance Margin is set by the exchange (not including daytrading margin)." The FCM can (and will) exceed exchange minimum margin requirements at times. Interactive Brokers does this a lot.

My mistake, $6600 is correct. Wow, DT margin is only $400.

DT margin of $400 is insane. That's only an 8 point move, when we are getting 50 point moves a day.
