Tony,
Respectfully this does qualify you for goin' round the block'. It has nothing to do with trading.....
As far as your "serious illness" that is regrettable, but might of been an eye opening, sobering moment in your life that gave you the wisdom you needed at that time.
After reviewing the threads ...this seems to be getting far to personal for some. ET for me, is a place where traders get together and discuss issues and a guy like me can listen, contribute and learn from the community. I find that there are many knowledgeable traders in here...some sincere and put a lot of thought in their posts. I can say that my trading experience has increased positively because of ET. Funny I do not see ET promoting itself to draw traders....BUT WAIT THEY ARE FOR PROFIT. Anyways this is not the battle of the rooms...its all about honesty..... Others derive an entertainment value from ET...I have at times have been entertained....I also have entertained others with my stupid escapades.....ooopps I have even entertained others when I was serious...oh dear..I gotta go...my wife is calling me. Yes dear!
Thank you for your posts and I wish you profitability in your future.
Michael B.
P.S. Without sounding like a megaphone, why can't someone from Woodies room document their results using Woodies 2-year method and good living advice......
Ok Nitro and Michael - I respect what you are saying. I've been round the block a bit - graduated from Oxford in 87 with trainee trading offers at JP Morgan, Salomon Bros, Bankers Trust, Chemical Bank and (the one I accepted) at Goldman Sachs. A serious illnesses prevented me from starting my trading career at that stage and I took a prolonged detour on recovery through advising multinational brands, obtaining an MBA, building and selling a business and running a publicly quoted company. I've invested since at school and been trading increasingly seriously for several years (I'm based in Europe so get to do a 'day job' largely before the US markets open).
