DaxTrader,
And when you make the call then with a big room you'll get a certain amount follow through. The ES is a market with small number of contracts per trade. This makes that when a large number of orders flow into the market in the same direction then it does affect the market. This has been proven by the MIT.

I have always thought that this is the main purpose of most advisory services. What better way of increasing the odds of your trades being a success than to have a large number of traders make the same trade in your direction.

I don't think Woodies room can be blamed for that. He surely choose hotcommn because they are good and not too pricey (yet). If a few charting packages or frontends get promoted it is probably because they are good.Quote from matilda:
I would like to follow up on some claims posted here that noone is making money from woodies room. There is no doubt that contributions to Make a Wish are very laudable but the blatant soliciting of commercial products like frontends and charting packages permitted in the room is less so. There is no doubt that with an increasing number of visitors to the room, the commercial opportunities will increase. At the moment Hotcomm are the obvious beneficiary. They have increased their fees three times since woodies room moved there.

from reading this thread , it is my understanding that woodie is at least 90 years old, he can not type or read fast, yet he has super fast trading reflexes as pointed out by a woodie room member ??
come on, the dude has all the attributes of a larger than life myth. can anyone provide background on this guy ??

It is a joke that he is 90 right??Quote from bobcathy1:
Surf, on the site there used to be a bio of Woodie. I did not find it this time. Guess he wants to be mysterious. Next time I see him, I will ask him what his job background was. Though at 90, I hardly think it matters. He has been retired so long.
