Who is the most neutral, unbiased reporter?

Matt Taibbi and Greenwald are as far from what you're describing as a reporter can get. Neither has any loyalty to either party and skewer them all regularly.
Yes, the corporate networks are bought and paid for. Cable outlets the same. Every print rag coast to coast, all in bed with one or the other, but there are independents that just call it as they see it without regard to who will like it. Taibbi and Greenwald fit that bill.

Let’s be clear here, both Greenwald and Taibbi are not exactly news reporters. A lot of their stuff is offbeat.

A fast-growing YouTube rival popular with conservative influencers has a new strategy to expand its online audience: Paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to well-known media personalities it says work to “challenge the status quo.”

The Toronto-based upstart Rumble said Thursday that it has struck deals with former U.S. congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, the journalist firebrand Glenn Greenwald and others who had committed to posting their videos first to the site.

Rumble has emerged over the last year as one of the most prominent video sites for right-wing viewers and provocateurs, and it is seeking to bolster its image as a new online home for those who claim they’ve been censored by Big Tech.

Rumble has grown from 1 million active users last summer to roughly 30 million, said the site’s chief executive Chris Pavlovski, a Canadian tech entrepreneur who worked a brief internship at Microsoft and founded a viral-joke website before launching Rumble in 2013. And its traffic has exploded: According to data shared with The Washington Post by the analytics firm Similarweb, visits in the United Statesto the site grew from about 200,000 in the last week of July 2020 to nearly 19 million last week — a 9,000 percent increase.

Gabbard and Greenwald have expanded their fan bases
in recent months by criticizing what they call overly aggressive media censorship in appearances on Fox News and Twitter, where each has more than 1 million followers.

The company said in May it had received a significant investment from Narya Capital, a fund co-founded by “Hillbilly Elegy” author J.D. Vance, and the billionaire venture capitalist Peter Thiel, an early investor in Facebook and a co-founder of the government-contracting giant Palantir Technologies.

Taibbi for sure is a Leftist. I need to do more research on Greenwald. He may be more of a straight-shooter than I thought before.

I qualify as “left” and don’t “trust” any single reporter and neither should anyone else.
But what does this say about the sources you use? They vote the same as you, have the same political leanings as you, advocate the same agendas as you, yet you don't trust them.
I agree we are in a time where no reporters, left or right, can be trusted to be giving us anything other that their extremely biased opinions. We, as a nation, are making extremely important decisions, much of it based upon the opinions of people who we have acknowledged are not trustworthy. :banghead: Considering that, it's pretty easy to see why the country is so completely fucked up.
