Whether we understand it not, Billy Banks (The Central Banks)
is the big daddy Pimp of all retail traders. He expects uninformed
retail prostitutes to walk the streets and whore themselves out, so
that they can continue adding liquidity to the market, so that their
Pimp Billy Banks can get paid.
Every day retail prostitutes bring their money to their Pimp Billy Banks. They are amazed he keeps his money in his big caddilac, but they never get to ride in his cadillac. All they can do is dream that one day, their Pimp Billy Banks will allow them to ride in his cadillac.
Eventually, one of the prostitutes gets fed up with being a whore. He or She decides to follow their Pimp Billy Banks and learn how and where he drives that damn Cadillac. In the process of educating themselves on all the moves of their Pimp Billy Banks, they eventually learn how to ride in his Cadillac, and feast on some of the profits his retail prostitutes are bringing in.

When you are selling your currency, there is something on the opposite end waiting to buy.
Basically, when you lose in forex, then your money goes to the broker and then it pays out to those who won the particular position which you have lost.
So there's a pretty transparent rotation of funds in this industry, one loses, another one gains and vice versa. It's an endless turnover, at least I judge according to my knowledge. Maybe there are some other places where money goes, but I am not aware of them.
Brokers are rewarded in the form of levied spreads and fees, so it's not in their interest to rob you. Thus, the only possible way - other traders.
