Liberal racism is rampant but ignored in polite circles. Probably the best example is their obsessive attachment to affirmative action. The whole concept of affirmative action is based on the incredibly racist asssumption that blacks are not good enough to advance on their own. Liberals will answer that subtle racism penalizes blacks, but what I see in the private sector is employers who would bend over backwards to give capable blacks a chance.
Liberals also use affirmative action to assuage their own considerable guilt. They know their kids, who go to elite schools and have every privilege, will never lose a job or university slot to an affirmative action candidate. No, it's the poor whites who suffer, and liberals couldn't care less about subjecting them to unfair discrimination based on race.
Part of that liberal guilt arises from their incredible hypocrisy over education. They force poor whites to be transferred from neighborhood schools to dangerous ghetto schools for the sake of racial balance. They block anything that would improve public education so as not to upset the teachers' unions. They block vouchers for poor minorities and sentence them to an inferior education in chaotic, violence-wracked urban schools. For their own little princelings however, liberals choose only the best in private education. Hypocrites in chief Bill and Hillary Clinton sent little chelsea to an elite private school in Washington , DC that costs as much as the average university. BTW, any of you who are moving here, you can forget about getting your kids into one of these schools, even if you could afford it. The old boy/old girl network reserves those slots for the liberal elite's offspring.
Liberals reserve their most potent venom for blacks that defy liberals' notions of what's best for them. Clarence Thomas tasted this double standard, when liberals advanced the absurd claims ofAnita Hill, herself an affirmative action medicority. More recently, Condalezza Rice, surely one of the most accomplished women of any color in the country, was crudely parodied in racist cartoons on liberal editorial pages. The same liberals who demanded Trent Lott's head for an off the cuff remark in honor of retiring Senator Strom thurmond saw nothing wrong with caricatures of the Secretary of State that could have come from the KKK newsletter.
