Since you believe in those studies,
are you following it (buy and forget, buy and hold for an extremely long period)?

Those who buy and hold things like Silicon Valley Bank, Silvergate Bank, Lehman Brothers, Barings Bank, TerraUSD/LUNA ...
might not know their assets disappear into thin air.

Of course, there are some stocks that appreciate value.

Those who buy and hold like that are doing it wrong ... Why pick your own stocks when there are plenty of ETFs that are very well diversified? Or just an index ETF for that matter.

Diversification is key, didn't expect the need to explain that here ...

Which approach if successful is more profitable?

Sure, day trading, as with the compound world wonder, nothing can beat it.

All small talk, is BS! Day-traders pointing out single stock investors, investors pointing out silly hobby day-traders.....

This should answer your question:

"A study from Fidelity analysed the performance of accounts to determine which type of investors received the best returns. Over a ten-year period, the clients that did the best were the ones who were dead and the second-best group were clients who had forgotten they had investments!"
Hello Devbru,

Investing is easy. But by time investors cash out, they too old to enoiy the money.

And noone starts investing at age 18 to enjoy the money earlier in life.

I know alot of older people who died before enjoying their millions in 401k.

Trading is the best business on the planet

Hi folks,

Feel free to drop your thoughts on who might be winning the profitability game.
Hello ninZa.co,

This is an easy question.

Day trading is far more profitable, without question.

However, it is wise to do both. Day trading and long term investment.
