Who is in charge in the US? Paulson or Bush

Quote from gnome:

Paulson does NOTHING without Bush's approval. Paulson is little more than an "Administration mouthpiece". (Whenever Bush want's to say something which might be controversial or even down-right stupid, he has Paulson say it.)
Bernanke & Paulson are in charge they decide what is necessary and Paulson tells Bush and Bush says ok. Bush wouldn't even know how to respond He's like an english major in an Econ class

Quote from gnome:

Nevertheless, it doesn't really matter "who pulls Paulson's strings"...

It matters lot when people are running around blaming Bernanke or Bush, thinking that the next Fed chair or Obama are their saviors.

Neither of these guys ask even come close to the decision making process.

Doesn't matter "who [individually] gets blamed", rightly or wrongly... it only matters "what is done". They're all part of the TEAM!

Quote from ProfLogic:

Council on Foreign Affairs and the World Bank

CFR is more of a think tank but a lot of real sh*t happens there. Just read the publications they put out. Most CFR members have no clue what's going on.

World Bank is a tool, and an effective one.

No, that is not how the system works.
World Bank and IMF for that matter are there to front the circus they are not the ringmasters.

If you never even get close to the heart of the problem, how do you ever expect to create, let alone, apply a solution?
