Who is fooled by the media anymore?

how would one understand your "commenting" when you had not written anything.
nice try... your cover up worked for about 2 seconds til I reviewed your post.

Do try to keep up and refer to the actual post. I was commenting on your reference to "provocateurs and propagandists." Feel better now?

That's an interesting chart that is very misleading. It is based on the number of newspapers endorsing a party. It therefore treats the East Buttcrack Journal as equivalent to the NYT or WashPo.
Would readership numbers perhaps make you feel better? From the same link:

Here’s each candidate’s share of the total number of readers subscribing to papers that endorsed a candidate each year:

which is why I believe it is against this boards rules to quote people out of context.

I focused on the lack of journalists... and journalism in newspapers... ..
when I am quoted in a reply I don't reread my comment if I remember what I wrote.
which is I still sense your post to be stupidly out of context.

Because my pictorial essay post included my quoting this:

See how that works?

I find it hilarious when an organization, whose job in my mind is to report facts and let people take it in for discussion, endorses one point of view or another.

Do people really fall for this stuff? Do people ask themselves who is behind these "endorsements" ? No wonder newspaper companies are going to zero.

Clinton is endorsed by major Illinois and Ohio newspapers.

The republicans have been making this claim for years. Where were you?

People have quit reading newspapers because they are paper. And cost money.

The speed at which news or other information can be obtained from the web is certainly a factor.

My wife still likes to read the local paper in it's paper form. Not sure why (mostly coupons I think...those are the days we get...not all 7 days), but they offer incredible deals in an attempt to stay in circulation + it gives me free access to their website. The paper comes in handy for other uses after she's done, so they have that going for them as well.
