It wasn't really that I was suggesting $500/day is good. It's the scale. 1% is what I was getting at and how I interpreted the original make $500/day with $10k, which will never happen.

Yes, but the OP is looking for consistently pulling in $500 per day on a $10K account. Even 'averaging' $500 per day wouldn't be good enough. Sounds to me like if you even net $450 or less on any one of those 20 days then you're not a 'professional'.

From a futures standpoint, I'm convinced that eveyone has losing days. Now, I could be wrong about that (I doubt it), but anyone who tries to tell me "it's EASY to make $X per day" loses all credibilty with me. It's not freakin' easy to make money in futures. Period.
