I got my referrals by telling my friends to list me in the sign up page...I never sent a thread to a friend...

This is a quote from Baron a few years ago.

At the bottom of any thread page, you'll see a link that says "Send this thread to a friend". Everytime you send a thread to a friend and that person visits the site, that counts as one referral.

I thought a referral was getting someone to register on ET.
