Who Had A Tough Time Today?

Today was a straight up day, what kind of strategies would incur such big losses? There comes a point you sell your position and reverse.

If you only trade counter-trend, that's what can happen. The good news is that days like today don't happen often. The bad news is that you don't know it's going to be one of 'those' days till after the fact.

Thats not true. You can smell the stench of shorts being carted away from very early on.
 
Today was as obvious as a heart attack; the WMT sales and the insane white-knight premium that Rio Tinto is paying for Alcan. A perfect storm for the basic materials. I slept in and missed the first 14 handles, but caught the remaining 14.

Today could've been alot worse for me if I had stuck with my system completely. But thankfully (believe it or not) the last 5 out of 12 trading days for me have been horrible, so I scaled back more than I should have and it paid off. Only got got my ass half kicked.

Just had a bad feeling driving in today.
