Unlike you, I recognize that CO2 generated by man is not causing global warming. There is no reasonable scientific data to support AGW which at this point is a political agenda.

GWB,, you haven't answered me. Is the CO2 produced by man NOT a greenhouse gas? Because regular CO2 is responsible for at least 20% of earth's greenhouse effect and we have raised it's levels by 40%. Excuse me but I'm trying to figure out how that could NOT lead to higher temps. Thank you.
The Center for American Progress was founded by former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta. Podesta is a long time DC behind the scenes guy, working on the Hill for various dems. he and his brother Tony started a high profile lobbying firm.
I suspect many of the companies listed in the OP are lobbying clients. What happens is these companies hire former Hill people as their Washignotn reps. Usually they are dems. Republicans have been effectively tarnished by the media as "too controversial." Their Washington reps advise thme which lobbyists to hire, so naturally they hire dems. Then they are encourage to donate dmoney to causes to promote their good corporate character. Of course, most of the money goes to far left groups. Sometimes the CEO has a particular interest or his wife does, so they direct some fo the money.
If they donate or support conservative groups, the leftwing hate machine goes into attack mode, and they wull be on the receiving end of angry editorials, boycotss, etc. So of course, their liberal washington reps advise them to steer clear of anything "controversial", ie conservative. Even groups like NASCAR fall into this trap. Recall the controversy this summer when a race was sponsored by the NRA, surely a very popular group among stock car racing fans?
This whole double standard was one of the reasons former republican representative Tom DeLay was so unpopular. He started something called the K Street Project. It was basically an affirmative action program for republican staffers. DeLay forced lobbying firms, ie K Street, to hire republicans as well as democrats if they wanted to lobby republicans in the House.
