Shouldn't take too long. Not certain what time they all get out of bed though.
Yes, Europe has move to a regional lockdown model rather than a national lockdown model.
The point is why the lockdowns are now being shunned (or the advice to do so is). The why is something some of us have been saying all along. That hasn't changed.
Actually the entire plan in Europe now is build around regional lockdowns and mitigations. In France they have imposed curfews on Paris and eight other cities along with other measures. In Germany they are toughening restrictions in hotspots as it enters 'decisive' phase.
Nearly all of Europe is now reversing direction and applying mitigations on a regional/city basis. At this point the measures are just one step short of a complete lockdown in many areas.
Yeah, don't really care. Florida is fully open. The rest of the crazies can do whatever they wish. Lock yourself in a closet with your internet connection. Please.
The point of this is that the European WHO Director came out and said lockdowns should be a last resort because of all of the issues some of us here have been mentioning all along.

Yeah, but you have not been saying all along that the lockdowns should be localized. That nuance was missed by most everyone. The human race slammed on the brakes when this pandemic showed up, and that's understandable.
You're right, I should clarify further. When this first occurred, call it Feb/Mar time frame, I don't recall being an advocate against lockdown. It wasn't until more information starting coming out and more data indicated it was not as bad as it was supposed to be. Probably end of April, certainly in May when I started challenging this and weighing the economic damage against the significantly less life damage that we had been told would happen.
So saying "all along" is probably an exaggeration. I haven't been saying it all along. But since May I can confidently go back and find posts of mine clarifying that the stance should have been around protecting the vulnerable, and supporting opening up.
