I think you meant that stupid simple strategies by people that do not use stop protection or fake their belief into using risk management in their trading as seen by many members here at ET whom actually created threads about risk management while posting their trades in other threads that never discusses stops.

  • Stops in this case would have been the problem.
  • They get stopped out and are left out during the reversal.

I was on an early lunch break (brunch) and didn't see the price action as it was dropping...I don't know if anyone would have had the guts to reverse from a Long position into the Short position.

Yet, I would imagine the smart traders would have either exited their Longs prior to the stop being hit as a position reversal or re-enter as a Short after being stopped out for a loss in the Long position.

Difficult for me to know considering Amatrue (below) stated it was his 1 lot trade in the micros that started the mess. It's a reminder to never turn our backs on the 1 lot traders...they have a nasty kick sometimes like a MMA fighter. :D

I would like to take this moment to thank all the trading educators and gurus whom I have paid thousands of dollars to teach me the MACD indicator in order to move the markets with my 1 lot micro.
 
And here is the more action on 1/27. Now if we break the channel, the 50 day MA (about 3700) will come into play. There will be a good reversal trade!
 
Just in case there's going to be another fkng v shaped reversal eod, I just tightened trailing stops UVXY etc to lock in gains :D
