Why would you trust an anonymous person on a public board that you know nothing about?
How do you know he is not fabricating his trades?
One single trade doesn't matter regardless if it is a winner or loser. In order to get the desired result you need to take every trade he does. How do you know he post every single trade? And what is the delay from his executed order to your executes order? may be serval minutes or hours.
And second why would anyone give that valuable information away for free? if some one is able to generate trades yielding +50% return annually anyone in his mind would not give that information away for free, it's bits of info that is worth millions of dollars to other party like hedge funds, family offices, institutions, investment banking prop traders, etc.
Thank for the warning, but a little common sense can go a long way.
Say X_Stranger sends you live calls, it does not take a degree in statistics to notice if the person has an edge or not, if he or she does you follow, otherwise, you ditch.
I've read technical books, several actually, zero edge found, no substantial gains made.
Have read thousands of posts in ET, same fate, too much ambiguity and nothing concrete.
I would love to learn how to fish, but who's teaching ? and most important, with what motives?
In the meantime, as I learn or continue to dream about learning, I can be amused and even make a buck from seasoned traders willing to throw a bone, so far I've gotten two very good calls, no harm done.

The common problem I see on this site and others is people want to call themselves a trader but they too lazy to put in screen time, reading books or other, studying, learning to program and yet they complain that no one is willing to help and if they do, they whin about it or want to know motives or send them statements. What ever happened to trader that willing to put in the time on his own? I hung around brokerage office in my Army fatigues before going to work for 2 years in 1978, I learn to make charts by hand and continued to do so till early 2000s and yes I had a PC starting in 1986. I have cases of handmade charts, and today I am very skilled at chart reading.
Most of newer trader has no common sense, you don't have any edge cause you don't understand edge, trading is done by people, and people are not concrete.
Many have no motives to post when in the mood, it is up to you to back test ideas, or maybe many don't have ideas cause they waiting for bones to be thrown.
You know better, you do anything worthwhile, people don't believe you nor even where they seen results will give you credit or they want last three years of monthly statements then insult you on top of it wondering about your motives. I will never post my trades again here or anywhere, waste of my time. Tired of many acting like we should work our tail off to help lazy-ass people. I shouldn't complain as I do, easier to sweep up the profits.....
