A comment about the French from a Canadian perspective. Quebecers are extremely proud and defensive of their culture and heritage, to the point of xenophobia. In Canada at least, they feel superior to anglophiles. Hopefully its similar in France. Personally, I'd love to see my city simply close down his fraudulent hotel project here and tell him to never come back.
