I'm not sure that wouldn't be a Pyrrhic victory. However, I would agree that for the time being it's best to stay out of dangerous hoods where the blood is boiling. Just or not, there is no negotiating at the moment with some people.

Why not more "white guys" in NBA? Obviously, because "white guys can't jump", don't you know? (There was even a movie about it.)
25 years ago I was watching an NBA game of Celtics vs "somebody". One of our group mentioned, "notice this... the Celtics have 5 white guys on the floor".. you may not ever see this again."
NFL? Blacks also rule.
Baseball? ~50-50.
Don't like it? Too bad. Blacks rule in sports (well, except hockey and ice skating, of course)

Baseball is informative in how it's treated differently form basketball and football.
In baseball, less than 8% of players are black, and there were three mlb teams earlier in the year with 0 black players. As we've all come to expect, even though basketball and football are far overrepresented by blacks and nobody finds it problematic, the race mongers have been quietly doing their moaning in the background about how baseball can be 'fixed' from this 'injustice' and whether and how might they possibly blame the disparity on the racism bogeyman.
btw, I read an article one time about how magic johnson went to boston garden back in those days for a game and black fans in Boston would tell him they were for the lakers because the celtics had too many white guys on the team.
