I can only surmise that you're referring to one specific incident. I'm taking a look at the whole of the situation. I'm quite certain that I could cherry pick a similar circumstance where a white kid was gunned down by police. But that doesn't prove that cops are racist against white people anymore than it proves they are racist against black people.

First, whites are just under 75% of the US population meaning there are a lot more white cops than black cops. So shootings by white cops will be much higher. Second, blacks make up about 12% of the population. But they also commit a disproportionate amount of crime. Third, a higher percentage of them live in poor neighborhoods leading them to crime and obtaining guns illegally. So it's no surprise to me that a higher number of them do get shot. If the thugs had 2 parents in the household instead of only one (75% of the time) they'd likely have a more stable upbringing.

As far as the Wal-Mart shooting ... no indictment.

A 911 caller reported Crawford was waving what appeared to be a rifle in the store. Police said he didn't obey commands to put down what turned out to be an air rifle taken from a shelf.

Numbnuts fails to mention that store video shows that the victim lay down the air rifle before police gunned him down. But then he doesn't like to be confused by facts.

So what this article is basically saying is that only a small percentage of computer science and computer engineering graduates from the top 179 North American universities are black or hispanic. The chart in the article shows that there is a much higher number of Asian graduates in tech company jobs, while whites, blacks, and hispanics have a lower percentage of IT workers in tech jobs than the percentage of graduates.

If you take the bland statistics as presented then Asians are greatly over-represented in the IT workforce (44% of the jobs while 19% of the graduates). This means that we need to take proactive measures to boost the percentage of IT employees who are white, black, or hispanic - while culling the Asians from the workforce.

This is a very sad message to America - we should be looking at the skills of applicants not setting quotas based on race - which is what this article wants us to do with our IT workforce.

I was going to say .. having a degree doesn't mean you're guaranteed a job in tech. Lots to consider .. GPA for one. And what university is another .. you think a Silicon Valley company would want a Stanford grad or one from Grambling?

When I lived in Michigan with Affirmative Action a lot of blacks were admitted to U of Mich. White kids with superior high school resumes were denied admission to allow more minorities entry. Sounds like that's what these bozos are now suggesting ... hire a minority regardless of if they are qualified. I'm sure plenty are qualified but others are not.

Apparently, if you're the star black quarterback of the Florida State football team, you can pretty much do anything you want, from raping drunk co-eds on down. the police, the school, the prosecutors, your coach, they will all band together to protect you, at least as long as you can play football. If however you're a white man, defending yourself against black thugs will get you life in prison or at least they will try to put you away like they did Zimmerman.

There is a lesson in this. If a car full of gangbangers threatens you, make sure you kill all of them. That way, they won't be able to ditch their weapons before the cops arise and there won't be any made up stories for guilt-ridden white jurors to swallow.
