He's right about personal responsibility. But he's wrong about the structural racism that exists in society.
However, whites (the alt-right kind) believe they have problem because they feel that they can't catch a break. So is this an example of their lack of personal responsibility that a coal miner hasn't gone to college to get another job, or a rust belt manufacturer hasn't retooled himself to get a better paying job? Why haven't so many Trump voters gone back to college? He primarily won the non-college educated vote. There aren't enough computer programmers out there. Easily these guys could have exerted some personal responsibility and learned programming and gotten six figure jobs.
