Thats a good idea.That is the only way you can make pay check to pay check workers stay home when sick.

If the idea doesn't workout it was your idea.
Many leaders think that way.
It links together with the concept of plausible deniability.

Ridiculous.
UBI should be done, I'm a big believer in it. But only as a replacement to all other welfare and income assistance programs. Remove everything, provide UBI with no requirements. Let people get other sources of income instead of restricting them from working because they'll be beyond the level where they would lose, say, SNAP or housing assistance.
And save on administering all the hundreds of programs out there.
