White House Forces Obamacare Insurers To Cover Unpaid Patients At A Loss

Quote from kid.fx.cross:

30 days is the norm
I forget what they call it on car insurance, but you can buy a car, and call them from the dealer and you are covered when you leave the lot

it's a moot point, since practically nobody is going to be enrolled by midnight 12/23/2013
Exactly, young man. Best wishes to you for a Merry Holiday Season.

I enrolled in October. I have an account, a screen name and password and they gave me an id number. They gave me choice if I wanted to be notified by email or USPS. I chose email, and haven't heard a thing from them.
I just checked my account
when I log in, all I get is my "status" which is marked as "complete"
and my ID number
there is nothing more to click other than "apply for coverage" and if I click that, it tells me I already have an account
never got a quote (other than on the intro page)
never was asked to choose a plan
no insurance company was ever listed to choose from

if I get bored tonight I'll contact them on "chat", they are very quick to respond, I already spent about 15 minutes with them trying to sign up, but it was quite comical

I told them everything I posted above and the first thing they said was "Go to www.healthcare.gov"

oh yeah, it's called a "binder"

the "chat" response time was a little slower than before, but still on a Sunday night before the yearly deadline of Mon Dec 23, not bad, less than 10 minutes

I told them I had "applied" back in October, and had an ID number, but I never got a quote, or anybody to send a check to

they very quickly replied, "Call the telephone number and talk to a "service representative"

I kid you not

Just like Obama said, it's like booking a trip to Timbuktu on kayak.com

Choose you favorite, Kafka or Orwell, they both had this one nailed

My personal favorite is Dostoevsky

I paraphrase

"I was walking on the beach one day. Well, actually, I wasn't walking on the beach. I was walking on the beach thinking about how miserable my life was and how many bad decisions I had made."

ƒÚImportant: You've already enrolled with a different application. To cancel this coverage and enroll with another application, go to your "Applications & Coverage" page. Select "My Plans & Programs" and then "Terminate all Coverage."

I'm not kidding, I asked them on chat and they told me to go to "My application", and that was the msg I got.

I called the 800 number and they told me, "For faster service, go to www.healthcare.gov

I would just like to know, who is this person that successfully "enrolled" and chose a plan, and sent them their first month's premium.

They should have them on tv and interview them

It would be more inspiring than the two people who hit the lottery numbers

ok, update, they gave me an extra day

but the only way to get through is by telephone

like I said, I don't have unlimited minutes, since all I ever use my phone for is to call Mom and Dad everyday to make sure they are still alive

so the first time, wait time is 75 minutes

second time, they tell me wait time is 145 minutes

man, what a good time to be a lawyer
