I don't know who was paying but I tire of this 'entitlement' mentality. 89% getting subsidies. More taxpayer dollars being pissed away. Ask yourself WHY are we even having subsidies? Yeah, I know those who make less $$$ can't afford the health care premiums. But that goes back to things like education and taking responsibility for ones own health. I have 13 years of volunteering in schools, the first 5 in a school that had rich, middle class and poor kids; and the last 8 in 2 high poverty schools. Why is it that in those first 5 years I saw kids who were more respectful, who had a stronger desire to learn (across the entire class) and thus, who likely would do better in life assuming they continue with that work ethic and desire to do well in school. The last 8 ... at times I want to quit. The percentage of kids who want to learn is probably 25% of the total population of kids I work with (80). So less than 20 kids seem to have at least some motivation. And if these kids are quitters, dropouts, or otherwise unwilling to work hard they'll be the same as their parents ... getting Section 8 housing, food stamps, Medicaid, free cell phone, energy credits and whatever else they apparently qualify for. And it puzzles the hell out of me how a 'poor' kid has an iPhone. Next, taking responsibility for ones health. The parents (who have been educated on diet, exercise, etc. through school programs) are mostly obese. So one can conclude they likely have more health issues than a healthier person, and thus more healthcare expenses. But as was pointed out in a recent article, even with free (or highly subsidized health care) out of shape people are no more likely to get into shape that other people. Thus, my reference to 'entitlement' society. If there were a financial penalty for being a slob we'd see at least some people wake up. Yet once people are getting free 'stuff' they expect that's the norm and it will continue forever. I remember when food stamps truly were a safety net for people Now people (liberals) bitch about how a family can't survive on whatever their monthly food stamp allowance is. Hello!!! Food stamps were NEVER meant to be the sole source of food/groceries.
Now maybe you can better understand my total frustration with Odumbocare.

It is clear that you're a frustrated old man Dohhi, you keep complaining.
Ask yourself where is your leadership in inspiring and motivating those kids to do better and become responsible productive adults after all isn't that what you're there to be doing?
and swallow your retarded pride and take advantage of Obamacare and address your frustration or just do yourself and everybody else a favor and just quit.
Dear Asshole:
No, I don't keep complaining. I keep pointing out FACTS! Let's start with this simple one Mr. Feeble Mind ... why did Odumbo turn health care upside down so that it is no longer similar to any other form of insurance? WHY are we REWARDING FAT SLOBS and PENALIZING those who take RESPONSIBILITY (for their health and well being). I await your uninformed drivel. WHY are those who consciously CHOOSE to ABUSE their health and bodies paying premiums the same as those who are not HIGH RISK (i.e. not HIGH COST). If you drive like an idiot and I'm a safe driver you pay higher rates. PERIOD! Same should apply to health insurance. SLOBS have no incentive to improve their health ... highly subsidized premiums and both deductibles and co-pays also subsidized. So most will sit on the couch and watch Jerry Springer or some equally intellectual show.
I've done more for disadvantaged kids than you can ever even imagine. Probably 5000 hours of academic and mentoring, all in a volunteer role, ... and if paid, even at $25/hour that would be $125,000 of 'free' services. My LEADERSHIP is in the classroom 2-3 days per week. Math is one of the weakest areas of kids these days and with 3 math oriented degrees (my apologies to Richter) I bring a wealth of real world experience. Any other stupid questions?
I'm not really that old and regardless I bet I'm in much better physical shape than you.
Last, how can I take advantage of Odumbocare? By paying premiums 200% HIGHER than what we pay now? By being happy that our deductible will go UP 27%? By realizing my wife and I will not get a HANDOUT like almost 9 out of 10 people.
Damn, you seem to be one of the most unintelligent posters I've yet encountered. Or maybe you started drinking early today? Whatever the case you'd stand no chance in a debate on the FACTS with me.
